National Manager, Jump Rope for Heart
Heart Foundation  

In 2014 the Heart Foundation’s Jump Rope for Heart program engaged everydayhero to facilitate the online fundraising aspect of our program.

Jump Rope for Heart is a fundraising and physical activity program run across all states of Australia, involving more than 1,000 schools and over 360,000 primary school aged children.

The program can be run at anytime throughout the school year and requires impactful, simple, yet concise fundraising communication directed at the teaching staff, parents and the children themselves, in order to drive online revenue. It is fair to say that there is a significant level of complexity involved in maximising online fundraising for JRFH. As an added challenge, in 2014 we are trialing a number of different fundraising models of the program, all of which involve online fundraising.

The team at everydayhero have proven to be proactive and responsive in the account management of our business. The team have worked hard to understand how Jump Rope for Heart is delivered, what the barriers to online fundraising are and what can be done to get more children actively engaged in online fundraising for our program. They have devised creative and inspiring communication pieces, with a view to liting fundraising results, including but not limited to, the development of motivational video clips. Furthermore, customer support to our fundraisers (often the parents) and the school based staff responsible for driving the program, largely through the consumer support line, has been prompt, reliable and helpful.

Operating a national program, with four different test models must be underpinned by a comprehensive reporting structure. This has meant on-going review and improvements to our reporting tools, a service that the team at Everyday Hero have worked hard to deliver upon.

Broadly speaking, the everydayhero team have shown themselves to be genuinely interested in seeing our program succeed, asking questions, seeking answers, fixing what is not working for us and looking for opportunities to extend our message. I’m very appreciative of their efforts and I am looking forward to working with them again.

RSPCA NSW have been working with everydayhero for the past six years, providing effective fundraising platforms for our major events and community fundraising programs.

What I believe makes everydayhero stand out from the rest, is the ability for users to process offline donations.

Whether making a simple donation or banking cash funds raised at an event, this offline solution provides our supporters with endless choices and a much easier process to bank their funds.

In addition to the benefit to the supporters experience, our internal processes and workloads have been decreased, resulting in our time being better spent engaging with our supporters and making the most of their fundraising experience.

Very Special Kids

everydayhero offered Very Special Kids a bespoke Giving Hub solution for our annual 24 Hour Treadmill Challenge, which utilises the Heroix platform.

everydayhero were able to accommodate our requirements for complex team layering, registrations, sponsor requirements, leader boards and back of house reporting.

We felt engaged throughout the development process which was built in a stage by stage process, allowing changes to occur along the way for event developments that were not factored at the beginning of the project. Excellent customer service was offered to Very Special Kids program managers and to users who required troubleshooting assistance.

The annual fundraising event saw over 5,000 donations in a two month period with 99% of donations coming through the Giving Hub with fundraising increasing 52% from the previous year.

Additionally the Heroix platform offered a significant cost saving than Very Special Kids engaging a developer to create a custom made Giving Hub.
